The shape-shifter had finally came to in shadows where no light had shown and coldness swept the floors. No sounds were heard or made here, everything was silent and dead except for the voice that came from Alice in echoes. It was hard to place her memory back together, trying to figure out what had happened. The darkness felt like the deep ends of her own minds where Alice sometimes escaped to, avoiding the real pain.
